Mary Karr

Mary Karr is the narrator of The Liars' Club. She is the daughter of Charlie Marie and JP, and sister to Lecia Karr. Both Mary and Lecia like to get into fights, but Mary is the one that loses most of them. Ironically, she prides herself in being able to take a beating, even when it is from her own sister. Mary goes through many obstacles in which she and her sister are forced to fend themselves, simultaneously raising themselves as well.

Charlie Marie Karr

Charlie Marie Karr was known to be the modern day term: easy. She had been married seven times, two of which are to Peter Karr, Mary's father. Her fourth marriage was the one that first brought her to Leechfield, Texas, where she later met and married Peter. Unlike him, though, she is very intellectual and artistic. She listened to opera, read a wide variety of literature, and loved to paint in her own home studio. Charlie would later become the complete opposite: taking up drinking as an artform, destroying her work and her daughter's toys, and becoming mentally "nervous" - nervous as in nervous breakdown.

He is known for his extraordinary story-telling abilities, best witnessed in The Liars' Club. Although he and his friends tell many stories, most of them aren't true, hence the dubbed "Liars' Club".

Lecia Karr

Lecia Karr is the daughter of Charlie Marie and Peter, and the older sister of Mary. She is the one that usually decides what Mary and her will do most of the time. Lecia is seen as the competent one, and is also resourceful. The many fights that she takes part in usually end up with her standing on her feet, and her opponent on the floor. Although she likes to pick fights with her sister, Lecia risks her life many times in order to save Mary's.
